This blog is a great idea for people to relay their stories about care giving and other helpful experiences. The Alzheimer’s Family Organization has several support groups in Central Florida for people to meet in a social setting and lend important care giving techniques, coping skills and community resources. If you’re shy or reluctant to identify yourself, you can post as ‘Anonymous’. Thank you AFO, for all your assistance.

Thank you for your organization. It has been so helpful since we moved to Florida from Illinois four years ago. I have used the Respite Care Assistance Program, the Wanderer’s Identification Program, Pardon My Companion Cards, attended training seminars and of course, the support groups. I can’t say enough about the support groups, particularly the one at New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages. Thank you AFO and all of your volunteers for the services which you provide.

Just a notice to all involved in the Wanderer’s ID Program. If you have stopped using the bracelet or pendant for any reason, please notify our office so that we may remove you from the Wanderer’s database. Thank you and contact us with any questions.
